Jeff Lien’s connection to the real estate industry began at an early age, growing up alongside a Wisconsin Merrill Lynch Real Estate office. By his teenage years, he was actively involved in the business, assisting with tasks from hanging signs to preparing properties for open houses.

Initially heading to college with aspirations to pursue math and computer science, Lien’s passion for real estate emerged, leading him to obtain his license in 1989. He quickly joined his family’s firm and made an immediate impact, earning the Rookie of the Year award in his first year.

Over the years, as the company transitioned from Merrill Lynch to Prudential Preferred and finally to First Weber, Lien honed his real estate skills and expanded his knowledge base. Motivated by his entrepreneurial mother, he also began investing in real estate, attracting a network of friends interested in property investment.

In 2006, Jeff founded the Lien Team, a group that has grown to include five agents, a busy administrator, and a marketing professional. The team achieved an impressive 107 transactions and $57 million in sales volume last year, with an ambitious goal of reaching $75 million by 2025.

The Lien Team operates mainly in southeast Wisconsin, covering areas such as metro Milwaukee, Brookfield suburbs, and the I-94 corridor up to Madison. The current market offers a range of properties, with prices varying from approximately $100,000 to luxury listings exceeding $15 million along the lake country.

Market Outlook and Philanthropy

Looking ahead to the spring and summer markets, Lien remains optimistic. He noted, “Supply and demand are beginning to even out. Prices are stabilizing, and interest rates are predicted to move a little lower.” The first quarter of this year was record-setting, with $20 million in sales amid challenging market conditions.

Community engagement remains a priority for Lien and his team. They actively contribute to the First Weber Foundation, supporting various charitable causes and volunteering for organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Young Life, a youth-focused initiative.
