The Poké Court Secures New Retail Space in NYC
The Poké Court, a specialty store catering to Pokémon enthusiasts, has recently finalized a long-term lease agreement for a 2,000-square-foot retail space located at 413 West 13th Street in New York City. This deal spans a period of ten years.
Lease Details and Representation
In the negotiations for this lease, The Poké Court was represented by Jason Pruger and Jason Stein from Newmark (NMRK). On the other side, the landlord, Epic, was represented by a team from Sinvin, including Christopher Owles, Teddy Srour, and Sarah Shannon. The specifics regarding the asking rent have not yet been disclosed; however, data from CBRE indicates that Manhattan retail rents averaged $659 per square foot as of the first quarter of this year.
Success of the Previous Pop-Up Shop
A source familiar with the transaction indicated that The Poké Court’s decision to commit to a permanent location followed the remarkable success of a previous pop-up shop they operated in SoHo last year. The positive response from that venture prompted the need for a dedicated space in New York City.
